Carter is 2!

It's hard to believe my baby boy is 2!!! On his actual birthday he took donuts to Rick and Amy's for breakfast....
He also was sung to about 20 times during the day and got balloons from Nana and Maggie, Sophie and Isaac.

This puppy was attached to the balloons and he loves it.  He name it buddy...just like Nana's dog.
We also took him out to dinner that night with Rick and Amy and the kids to Applebees.  I didn't get any pictures because it wasn't the best experience. He is 2 and isn't very good when eating out.  He did settle down a little when his food came, and he liked when they sang to him.

TIME TO PARTY
We had a combined birthday/superbowl party.  It was really fun and I think Carter had a great time. We started the morning out with a new hairstyle.
He was ready for a haircut and so we decided to do a mohawk for the party.
This was his cake

Then the cake to share...(we only needed about a 1/4 of this)

Enjoying cake and ice cream.  (Kari is talking to Nana and Gma Willard.  We webcamed them in for the celebration)

He really liked opening his presents with all of the help from the cousins.
The highlight was this gun from the Palmer boys apparently when he played at their house he wouldn't put it down.  This picture also shows his post hair cut. The plan all along was to shave his head to support Grandma Jean and her first Chemo treatment the next day.  (if you want to follow that story this is the blog jeanpalmerfamily.blogspot.com

Carter went to his pediatrician for his 2 year well child check and is doing great.  He does whatever the nurse asks as long as he gets a sucker off the desk.  He weighs 29.8 pounds and is 34 inches tall.  He didn't have to have any immunizations and other than the flu shot until he starts kindergarten.

We love you Carter!! Happy Birthday!!!!

Half way there...

I am half way there with pregnancy #2! Things have been great so far. No morning sickness, the only thing I've had to complain about is fatigue and headaches. I had an ultrasound last week and will see the dr next week.
We (mostly me) don't want to know the sex of the baby. My mom was determined to look but the US tech said she didn't even know. The cord was between the legs the whole time.
Carter knows there's a baby in Mom's belly but I don't think he understands what that means. He likes babies though so that's a good sign right?
This isn't the best picture (picture of a picture) but it is still adorable...don't you think?
