Oregon in May

We went to Oregon in May to visit.

This bin kept him contained for a little while...

The plane ride was a little challenging...Carter wasn't feeling great and of course didn't want to go to sleep.  Luckily we had 3 seats and the ladies in front of us were very understanding.  The only thing that seemed to make him happy was standing up on the seat table.  An older lady in front of us was talking to him and he started showing off hitting himself in the head, and then laughing.  She laughed of course, and next thing we know he hits her on the head! It was so embarrassing.  

 We were there for Nate's birthday and Mother's Day.  We had a really good time, like always.  We never get to see everyone but we do our best.  We spent the first few days in Dayton.

Bright and early the first morning we were there Carter insisted on going outside with Nana and of course she gives him EVERYTHING he wants.  She hooked up 2 leashes, one for her and one for Carter.  They went out every morning to walk the dog and get the paper.

These two are quite the pair! They have so much fun together, you would never know they are 13 years apart.  

So...I had been telling Nate for weeks that I wanted to trim Carter hair and on the plane ride to Oregon he casually mentions that he guesses we should probably trim it... So these are post haircut.  Anyway, Grandma Willard still had Easter candy out and it didn't take Carter long to find it.  He kept sampling the candy...sucking on it and putting it back half eaten...

Carter fell in love with Grandpa's walker...I don't know if he thought Grandpa needed help or if he just thought it was a shiny toy.  Grandpa tolerated it for the first couple of days and then we had to put a stop to it.  

Grandma and Grandpa Willard and three great grand kids.  Of course we couldn't get them to cooperate for a decent picture, but at least we got them.

Jeph, Wendy and Maggie came up to Dayton on Saturday.  Carter and Maggie were able to hang out again and started playing and fighting just like typical cousins would.
