Big Girl Pants

It's time to put my big girl pants on and go back to work. :-( I have been really lucky to take this much time off to spend with Carter. The first 6 weeks are a blur, but I have really enjoyed this time with him. So much that I am dreading going back...but you have to do what you have to do. There are pros and cons some very obvious..

CON-I have to leave my sweet little boy for 10 hours a day..I think I have only been away from him for 4 hours up to this point.
PRO-A paycheck
CON-Leaving Cater...
PRO-Socializing with my work friends. :-)
CON-Not spending as much time with Nate, Carter, and all my family...I loved seeing my nieces and nephews a lot more
PRO-I have a really good job and am very thankful for it
CON-No more watching TLC in the background (I got addicted to Say Yes to the Dress)
PRO-Can't think of anymore...
CON-Waking up and staying up at 5:00 am!

I know Carter will be in good hands and I know that I can still be a good mom and a mom that goes to work...so here goes nothing...back to my cubicle in a trailer in the desert I go.

Mothers Day

Mothers Day obviously means a lot more to me this year then it has in the past.  I can't even describe the feeling of being a mom.  I wouldn't trade it for anything...even pedicures, chapstick, massages, shaving my legs, hot meals, long baths, sleep, sleep, oh and sleep.  :-)  I LOVE being a Mom and would not trade it for anything in the world.

I am VERY lucky...I have 3 moms!  The one I have had for 30 plus years (eek that is scary to say) and the other 2 I have been lucky to have for almost 12.  I love all 3 of you more than you know and appreciate now what being a mom is all about.  I can't imagine my life without any of you.

I am so glad that my Grandma Carrie lives in Grantsville now and I get to see her a lot more..almost every Sunday.  :-)  She is so funny and loves to hold all the babies.

Grandma Willard is such a great example and means so much to me! I am so thankful that she is in my life.

I've never missed my Grandma Coon more than I have since Carter was born.  I know she would have loved holding him and playing with his curly hair!  She meant the world to me and I love her so much....I have a feeling she did hold Carter and had something to do with the curl.

And...here are some other great Mom's I know that are great examples to me and I learn from constantly.  It feels great to be part of the "Mom" group....I just hope I can be half the moms that all of you are.

Carters Blessing

We blessed Carter today and had the family over for dinner and some fun.

My handsome boy

4 Generations

Carter loves Grandma Carrie

And...his favorite Aunt

The Jazz game was on so this is where Rick and Randy hung out..

The kids eating dinner..they had to eat before they could play so they ate pretty fast

We rented a bounce house for the kids to play in and it was a big hit! They all had a great time and so did the adults.

Carter 3 Month Pictures

I can't believe my baby boy is 3 months old!  I took him to Little Grin to get his 3 month pictures and they turned out really good.  She said he was the best 3 month old they have ever had (but maybe she tells all mom's that)..either way I was proud of him.  He was a very good boy and I am glad we got some of him smiling.

Carter seems so grown up to me.  He is now smiling all the time, and squealing.  He loves all of his cousins and gets so excited to see them.  He is sleeping pretty well, he will go 4-5 hours at a time at night.  He still doesn't like tummy time but we are working on it.
