I can't believe my BABY is ONE

Where does the time go?  I can't believe Carter is 1!  I can honestly say it has been the best year of my life. I don't know what I did without him and I am so thankful that he mine!

Carter is growing and fast!  ( I will insert his stats after he has his 1 year check) He is in to everything, and I mean everything.

  • He has 8 teeth
  • He has become a picky eater, wants nothing to do with baby food
  • He is drinking whole milk and loves it... but also still loves his bottle and binkie
  • He thinks every remote is a phone and holds it up to his ear
  • He has become a Mama's boy but only when I am in the bathroom-he sits by the door and cries Mmmmooooommm the whole entire time
  • He loves to take a bath and would play in there for hours if we'd let him

Baby Drewes

Randy and Brittany had their baby on January 24th.  He weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.  He is the 11th Palmer baby and makes the 6th boy...which means the boys are ahead.  (Maggie is really concerned about this)
We are SO happy that he is here and healthy!

Mom's little helper

Carter is in to EVERYTHING...and now that he is walking he gets everywhere even faster than before.

Good thing he is so cute and has me wrapped around his little finger.

Somebody is going to get hurt...

So, we had a sleepover and the air matress was still set up in the living room.  Nate decided to play 'bounce' with Carter.  He was laughing pretty hard so I decided to start filiming....the rest is history.

Carter is fine, Mom wasn't happy-which means Dad wasn't either.

Mmmoooooo

Nate had a little run in with a cow on his way home from work last week.  Nate is fine, but the Civic isn't.  (oh, and the cow we own is dead also) We are hoping to possibly salvage it if there isn't major damage under the hood.  This car has been good to us, it was the first car I purchased and has been running strong for almost 12 years.  When I first bought it, I paid $10 to fill the tank.

My favorite show

Just in case anyone was wondering..hands down this is my favorite TV show.

Walk this way

It's official.  Carter is walking!  This video isn't very good but it shows enough.  Up until this weekend he had only taken 3-4 steps at a time, but yesterday and today he has taken off!

Merry Christmas!

I was really excited for Christmas this year.  It was Carters first Christmas and last year we were remodeling so I didn't decorate at all.  So..I went a little crazy this year.  Nate even put Christmas lights on the house!  The house looked really pretty.  Carter helped me decorate the tree...every ornament I put on, he took off. :-)  The ornaments made their way higher and higher up the tree.

Shopping at Costco....He couldn't take anymore and fell asleep

We spotted Santa and Mrs. Claus cruising in SLC

Carter went for a ride in Uncle Randy's truck

Mastering the stairs without the gate

Grandma Willard and Kathy (nana) were able to come to Utah for Christmas this year.  We were so excited and glad they came!

Christmas PJ Party

Carter was a little confused...he didn't get the whole concept of unwrapping the presents.  (He was also sick with strep throat so he did pretty well amongst all the chaos)

Santa came to the party...I was holding C and so I didn't notice, but apparently he kept this face from the time he walked in.  He wasn't sure what was going on....

Then it was his turn...

He has a present for me...this might be ok..

NOPE...get me out of here!
Poor Baby

Oh...my Dad took on a sister wife..Kathy

The Palmer girls...that's all I have to say.

Christmas morning

He loves his CAT truck

And...his new recliner

Ok...I think I'll play on the stairs

The baby boys...

All worn out...it was a LONG day

Carter has mastered shaking his head NO...

And going up and down the stairs....

Thanksgiving

We went to Oregon for Thanksgiving this year.  We had a really good time.  We spent the first part of the trip in Newport.  Carter and Maggie were excited to see each other again, and everyone had a great time just watching the babies.

We went to the aquarium one day...it was a lot of fun

Oh Carter...I've missed you SO much.

I love this picture.

Eating Thanksgiving dinner...he really liked the green beans

And...the day after we ate about 75% of the family was sick with the flu...luckily, Carter and I didn't get it, but it pretty much wrapped up the trip.  We didn't get to see any of our friends because we didn't want to take the chance of spreading it.
