Oregon in May Part 2

We headed to Newport on Sunday to spend some the night.  The weather was nice (60 degrees) on the way there so we decided to stop and let Carter play on the beach.  It looked nice, but of course the wind was blowing and it was cold!  Carter could care less how cold it was.  He had so much fun!  We only stayed about 15 minutes and he was not happy when we had to leave...even though his lips were blue.

On Monday Nate, Kathy, Wendy and I decided to go whale watching.  Whale season had been good in Newport and we thought it would be fun...well, it was ok.  The first 1/2 hour was fine, then it got really old. AND...we didn't see one whale...what we did do was get soaking wet and sea sick.  Our whale watching days are over.

We spent most of the time just playing with the kids and relaxing.  Oh, and of course eating clam chowder and crab louie salads.
